The Hard Truth
About Us
Our Story
-
The Male Sexual Assault Foundation (MSAF) was born out of a profound need for support and advocacy for boys and men surviving male sexual assault. Founded in 2024 by Brian Selem, MSAF has grown from a small support group to a non-profit organization dedicated to the healing, empowerment and legal rights and remedies for its members.

-
Our journey began when Brian Selem, unable to seek justice due to the California and New York criminal statute of limitations, realized the urgent need for change in how society and the legal system address male sexual assault. Together with Scott F. Reed, an experienced advocate and event organizer, they built MSAF to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change.

-
Today, MSAF stands at the forefront of the fight against male sexual assault, offering a safe place for survivors to receive comprehensive support services, help raise public awareness and advocate for legislative change that will protect survivors and hold perpetrators accountable.
